Blizzard Beach is my favorite Water Park. It is the newest of Disney's Water Parks and they have worked hard to make it their best Water Park yet. It is also the largest of the three.
One of the favorite rides is a speed slide called Summit Plummet. It features a very steep 130 foot drop. I personally do not like this type of ride and did not go on it. However, I've been told it's a very good ride and, judging from the line waiting for it, it is very popular.
There is a tube ride that is almost completely in the dark and a family raft ride. These both get high marks from myself and others who have tried them. There is a river that winds its way all the way around the park for those who prefer to relax and a very good kiddy area for the very young.
All around the park are picnic tables and umbrellas for shade, eating and relaxing with soothing tropical music. There is basic food here, like hamburgers and ice cream. I bring my own and get there early to grab an umbrella. There is also a beach bar area if you truly want to relax.
There is sand everywhere, lots of pools and water running wherever the ground might get hot. Blizzard Beach is a wonderful relaxing break from the hustle of seeing the Theme Parks.
Blizzard Beach is located on Disney property. Take I-4 to exit 25B. Follow the signs to Blizzard Beach. Phone Number: 407-824-4321.
